Acceptable Use Policy
Because the Platform is used in connection with close protection and security services, the misuse rules should be stated plainly and enforced consistently.
1. Purpose
1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for lawful and proper use of the Gaurdius website and Platform by Clients, Suppliers, Administrators, and other authorised users.
2. Permitted use
2.1 You may use the Platform only for genuine, lawful activity connected with finding, offering, arranging, discussing, or administering legitimate close protection or related security services, together with normal account, support, and operational activities.
3. Not for emergencies
3.1 The Platform is not an emergency or dispatch service. You must not rely on it where there is an immediate threat, emergency, or urgent need for police, ambulance, or other emergency response. In those situations, call 999 or the relevant emergency authority.
4. Prohibited conduct
4.1 You must not use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purpose.
4.2 You must not use the Platform to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, coerce, exploit, or discriminate against any person.
4.3 You must not request, offer, advertise, or arrange any service that would require unlawful force, unlawful detention, unlawful surveillance, harassment, or other illegal conduct.
4.4 You must not upload or send false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, infringing, or malicious content.
4.5 You must not impersonate another person, misstate your identity or authority, or provide false licence, insurance, or compliance information.
4.6 You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, APIs, infrastructure, or data.
4.7 You must not interfere with the Platform's security, integrity, availability, or normal operation, including by scraping, reverse engineering, introducing malware, spamming, or using automated tools in a way that bypasses intended controls or imposes unreasonable load.
4.8 You must not use the Platform to collect, export, store, or share personal data without a lawful basis and a legitimate need to do so.
4.9 You must not use Gaurdius branding or references in a misleading way or imply that Gaurdius has approved, guaranteed, or endorsed something when it has not.
5. Supplier-specific rules
5.1 Suppliers must not offer services they are not legally permitted, licensed, insured, competent, or operationally able to provide.
5.2 Suppliers must keep listings, prices, availability, and credentials accurate and up to date.
5.3 Suppliers must not state or imply that Gaurdius is the provider of the Supplier's services or that Gaurdius guarantees the Supplier's performance, legality, or payment.
5.4 Suppliers must not use the Platform or off-platform arrangements to avoid fees properly due to Gaurdius for introduced business.
5.5 Suppliers must not use Client data obtained through the Platform for unrelated marketing or other unrelated purposes unless they have a lawful basis to do so.
6. Client-specific rules
6.1 Clients must not submit false enquiries, speculative abuse, or bad-faith complaints.
6.2 Clients must not seek unlawful services, ask a Supplier to act outside the law, or conceal material safety or legal information that a Supplier reasonably needs to assess a request.
6.3 Clients must not misuse refund or complaint channels to pressure, threaten, or extort Suppliers.
7. Security and reporting
7.1 You must keep login credentials secure and use reasonable account security practices.
7.2 You must report suspected misuse, security issues, false listings, or unlawful conduct to support@gaurdius.com as soon as reasonably possible.
8. Monitoring and enforcement
8.1 Gaurdius may monitor use of the Platform, investigate suspected breaches, remove content, restrict access, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate with law enforcement or regulators where appropriate.
8.2 A breach of this Policy may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, permanent removal, reporting to authorities, or legal action, depending on the seriousness of the breach.
9. Relationship with other terms
9.1 This Policy forms part of the contractual framework governing use of the Platform and should be read with the Terms of Use, Supplier Agreement, and Privacy Notice.
